Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2026-07-29

1. Who you are contracting with

Climate Accountability (the "Service") is operated by Coral Carbon ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service or purchasing a report, you ("you", "user") enter into these Terms & Conditions with Coral Carbon.

2. Acceptance

By accessing, browsing, or purchasing a report from the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You confirm that you are of legal age to enter into a binding contract, or that you have authority to bind the organization on whose behalf you are using the Service.

3. The Service

The Service generates on-demand reports that aggregate publicly available information about data center projects, elected representatives, and public meetings near a location you provide. Reports are informational and are not legal, investment, or professional advice. Information is aggregated from third-party public sources and may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate; you are responsible for verifying anything you act on.

4. Payments and billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. Payment card details and billing information are collected and handled by Stripe under their terms and privacy notice.

Reports are sold as a one-time purchase at the price displayed at checkout. Each purchased report remains accessible for at least 30 days from the date of purchase.

5. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. See our Refund Policy for how to request one.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose;
  • send spam or use report content to harass individuals or officials;
  • infringe the intellectual property rights of others;
  • attempt to interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including introducing malware, probing, scanning, scraping at scale, or circumventing rate limits or access controls.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and the compiled report format, is owned by Coral Carbon and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to view and use the reports you purchase for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly republish reports in whole, or reverse-engineer the Service. Underlying facts drawn from public sources remain in the public domain.

8. Availability and disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific report content will be accurate, complete, or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the report giving rise to the claim in the twelve months preceding the event. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold Coral Carbon harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your unlawful use of any report content.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious violations of the acceptable-use rules above.

12. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may change the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Coral Carbon is resident, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms and billing questions (refunds, receipts, payment methods): contact Coral Carbon through the Service.
